Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies



Ingredients
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter , softened
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup caramel baking bits


Instructions
  1. Note: click on times in the instructions to start a kitchen timer while cooking. 
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. and sift together the flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. 
  3. In a stand mixer beat the brown sugar, butter, and sugar until lightened and creamy, 2-3 minutes then add in the eggs and vanilla until fully combined. 
  4. Add in the flour mixture until just combined then fold in the chocolate and caramel chips. 
  5. Scoop in 2 tablespoon sized balls on a cookie sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
